Friendship Heights is located in the Northwest quadrant of D.C. It is bordered by River Road, Western Avenue. This neighborhood maintains the essence of city living with suburban convenience. Friendship Heights is mostly known for its upscale high rises and chic shopping. It is often referred to as the “Rodeo Drive of D.C.” Department stores line the streets along with boutiques, restaurants, and a Whole Foods for grocery shopping. There are many dining options such as P.F Changs, The Capital Grille, and The Tasting Room wine bar. All of these amenities are nearby making it easy and convenient for residents to dine and shop.

The majority of residential living in this area consists of upscale condos and apartments. For many real estate buyers this is perfect for their needs. There are beautiful homes in this neighborhood as well, but they tend to go quickly because there are less available.  Prices for homes in this neighborhood are on the higher end of the spectrum because of its great location.

A free shuttle bus circles the neighborhood providing residents with rides to the metro, Ride- On bus routes, and residential buildings. The Friendship Heights Metro Station is located on Wisconsin Avenue on the red line.

Murch Elementary School, Alice Deal Middle School, and Wilson High School are public schools in the area.  Private schools near this neighborhood are the Sheridan School, and Georgetown Day School.
